Isn't superman an anime? I swear, i saw it animated like yu gi-oh or whatever. It isn't justice league, because it was fairly old looking. when i was in japan.

On a related note ( and my second consectutive post about crappy toys)
have you gotten a load of super breath super man? you can see someone push the lex luthor toy. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Hells yeah. Definitely agreed on that one. It's the only series I've liked enough to own.

I also have a liking for Trigun, Big O, Bebop, and Blue Submarine 6 (A short but pretty cool anime nonetheless). Nadesico is pretty sweet as well, although I have not seen all the series.

Neither do I. The closest I've come to that drawing style I liked was "Inspector Gadget" (and I only say that because of its occasionally low frame rate.)

I liked Pokemon & Yugioh back in the day. I saw an episode of the Japanese version of Yugioh on Youtube. Man, the Japanese version is WAY better than the crappy "4kids entertainment" English version!

I'd have to say that I love Gundam, specificly the UC universe series/OVA/movies. Next in line would have to be Ghost in the Shell, for the simple fact that the cyborgs in 203x are just awsome.

I like Yu-gi-oh, Megaman, Pokemon(ONLY and ONLY I say the old ones.The new ones are complete and utter @$%^&!!*luaghs maniacly while drawing May being incinerated by Charizard*

Oh yeah....Anyone here ever heard of Spider Riders?One of the strangest little anime's I've ever seen...It's great.

I kind of prefer darker or more emotionally challenging productions: Akira and Ghost in the Shell are pensive yet animalistic, but there're lots of other greats projects in a similar vein, like Perfect Blue, Now and Then, Here and There, Texhnolyze, Serial Experiments Lain (arguably the best show to explore the blurring of technology and humanity in the digital age), and Infinite Ryvius (think Lost in Space meets Lord of the Flies).

One production aspect that attracts me more than anything else is attention to detail on the part of the technology designers. The reality of a show is completely violated if the little details are mismatched. For an example of what I'm talking about, check out Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise. It's one of my favorite movies, and even though most everything is familiar in function, little things, like spoons or engine design, are just different enough to give it an existence independent of our own. Planetes is similarly detailed and well thought out, and is a great story to boot.

Lastly, I've had a rule since seriously getting into anime about 5 years ago: If the show goes for more than 2 seasons it had better be really good, and if it tops 100 episodes, it probably really sucks. With few exceptions, I've been proven right. The deal is that once the production team gets to the point where they either plan on or feel they can extend the show indefinetly, they lose the desire for exposition in a timely fashion and give you nothing but filler. There's a reason things like Dragon Ball Z have enter episodes filled with nothing but grunting played over virtually still frames -- it's because there's no quality behind it.

i like the gundam series, wing is definitly my favorite though, its the only series i watched completely it had enough action and enough story to keep me watching. some of the gundam series just have the absolute minimun of fighting and i dont like them as much
