About the forums / site problems...

Last week was quite the wild ride for the Benheck.com site.

First the server was whacked by hits and went down Monday. The usual guy who's helped me with this in the past doesn't seem to be around.

Tuesday I call up and switch to an unlimited bandwidth plan. Site goes back up, but on patched (bandwidth extended) old server.

Thursday I get an email saying the credit card is declined, even though the site's up. (2 days later??) So I called them up and they re-ran it, and we were good to go. Again.

The domain and server location switched TWICE, I got the most recent email yesterday.

However it does now seem that Benheck.com is on the new server and the DNS points to the right place. I believe some posts were lost from the forums yesterday during this transistion.

So everything should be good to go now. The switch must have occured late last night because it reports 34 visitors for Saturday.

Sorry for the delays and hiccups. That's what happens when you get a quarter million unique visits and nearly a terabyte of bandwidth used in a single week.

You wanna revert back to the old layout? Please? I really dont like the new one, and its not like you're gonna have anymore bandwidth problems.

Well Luc asked me to make a backup of the forums, just in case. So if anything bad happens soon I can get everything patched up.

I probably will do something about the main page. Probably after I finished Podcast Episode 3.

Speaking of Podcast Episode 3, when is that gonna be done? As well as the Sonic Boom podcast, I enjoy listening to both of them. Take care!

Does this have anything too do that I get a vdeck error when I do benheck.com and not when I do benheck.com. ? (notice the .)

Episode 3 is done and posted as of yesterday, as well as the latest Sonic Boom. Check the main page.

Hope you enjoy the "Special edition" Intro we did for Ep. 3.
