i propose to you an idea

Post by sameguy »

well i sit here in my mess of computer chips and hacked consoles.. and i wonder is there anything more than this... soo i ponder for many days when it finaly hits me, i shall design my own console... but this shall be a massive job to undertake, that i could not possibly accoplish alone.. no i need more people, a small group perhaps that could contribute what the will towards the completion of this project... soo i ask this question .. would anyone out ther be willing to help me on this project, i need games and programs.. and many suggestions towards how this system should look and work... soo if i have peaked any of your interests e-mail me at mffeist@hotmail.com

Gees just go out and buy the book: the Black Art of Video Game Console Design. There are two consoles that you can build and program for, they also come in kits. Or you can build on of the prototypes (they have 6502, Z80, ARM, ect). Lastly what you learn for the book could help you build your own.

Well it's admirable to design and build your own video games system it's not really practical. The practical thing to do is join the XGameStation.com group (they use the systems form the book I mentioned), join the BlackBox or you can look into the soon to be released Hydra (it's specs parallel the BB's).

So how would you burn these, let alone get the discs, as the ones left over from the Dreamcasts hayday are very rare.

Ok and I guess the 1.4GB miniDVD format isn't that great? Other then that VB_Master filled in the rest.
