I dont know what to buy... either a DC portable or wii. I would LOVE to have a DC portable, I can already see playing NES, SNES, all those other great systems on the go, plus doom, quake, hexen (all burned, obviously), and soul calibur. though every time I think about buying one I also think of the nintendo wii. my friends would definetly be impressed if I got it the day it came out, plus theres zelda. but than theres zelda for the GC, which I already have a hold on. and I can already see the day It coming out it being all over G4, in the news paper, and on the internet being called "AWESOME" and me getting all PO'ed because I dont have one. so I have some Q's
-which one is better?
-Is it possible for me to keep the online for the DC?
-Is it possible fo rme to have the controls built in for the DC yet 2 me control ports (I would play multiplayer, they would be for mouse and keyboard)
- how much would a Dreamcast portable (the kind that can play burned games) with VMU, internet (if possible,) and the other 2 ports be worth if buying?
thanks,
Ty
I am TORN on what to do.

Personally, I say go for the DCp. Although the Wii is awesome, it really is tailored to a holiday buyer, so give Nintendo what they want!
Reserve one, maybe put a few bucks of down-payment on it in traded games, and have your parents/relatives/Santa pick it up for you for Christmas. A portable Dreamcast offers so much, and it would definitely be a system worth building/buying before the Wii.
And trust me, this is coming from someone who did the exact same thing; I could've saved up for a Wii and gotten it at launch, but instead, I opted to have Sky build me a PSTwoP and me work on a GCp and get the Wii for Christmas. Good luck!

Get the Dreamcast portable, reason being that most first releases are buggy, so if you wait till the second or third version release you'll have a system the will not act up or break.

What's Cashcrate? And do you want to BUY a DCp, or build one? If you're looking to buy, Dkap charged $400 (when he offered them). I know that atkafighter still offers them, he built one before. You can ask for one at his website, www.atkahandhelds.tk .ganonbanned wrote:or cashcrate, what I was just thinking a few minutes ago. I did cashcrate, I have heard from a lot of ppl it works. how much does a DCp go for?

thanks for the answersss
I still have some q's unanswered:
could I get 2 extra ports for the mouse and keyboard?
what about Internet?
VMU?
PS would anyone be willing to sell me a DC liek the one stated above, in the $150-$175 price range? (one that can play homebrews...)
