Replace 4021 with 4014?

Well, the NES controller uses a 4021 shift register to send serial data to then NES. Could I replace this chip with a 4014 and have it work? Any modifications needed to get it going?

Edit: Maybe I should of mentioned that I'm using two of them to make a SNES controller as per the schematic on this page: http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/nessnes.htm.

Edit 2: Nevermind, got some free samples of the 4021. Delete this thread, I guess. :wink:
