I'm not to big on ipods but I must say that I am pleased to see the return of the classic styling on the nano. I always thought the original nano looked like it belonged on my bathroom counter. I am sorely disappointed that there is no video support on the nano. still.
I wonder what the case material is. It would be nice it it were aluminum like those laptops they released a few years back. Honestly I would be significantly more willing to buy if they were equipped with metal cases.
Any who I am still holding out to see what the Zen V+ is like before I get a "serious" multimedia player to replace my current bargain bin one.

I hate how Microsoft has such a monopoly on the computer market…the hundreds of billions of dollars they have sickens me.Electric Rain wrote:I hate how Apple has such a monopoly on the MP3 player industry... the billions of dollars they must have sickens me.![]()
Cool stuff, yes, but my mobiBLU, while much, much simpler, is cooler and smaller. I'll be truely impressed when Apple adds built-in WiFi so you can download stuff without the needing a computer. (As long as you're in a hotspot.) The PSP and DS have it, why can't the iPods? Come on Apple! What's wrong with you? Can't you do ANYTHING right?! Jeez.
Cool stuff in Vista, yes, but Mac OS X, while much, much simpler, is cooler, and smaller. I'll be truly impressed when Microsoft adds ease of use so you can use your computer without needing to hire an IT department. The Mac has it, why can't Windows? Come on Microsoft! What's wrong with you? Can't you do ANYTHING right?! Jeez.

USB drives can be used as RAM, so a 1gb stick basically means 1gb more RAM.usbcd36 wrote:I hate how Microsoft has such a monopoly on the computer market…the hundreds of billions of dollars they have sickens me.

The only bad thing about Vista is that it tracks everything that you do, and saves a backup of it. I do not like this feature at all.

Plus, the flash media those devices are based around can only be written and read a finite number of times before the chip starts crapping out. (Besides, XP has this feature. It's called "Virtual Memory".totokan wrote:using USB as ram is bad idea. it's to slow to be used as main system ram.
Very well said, usbcd36! I like how people complain about Apple's strong hold on the music industry (iTunes, iPod...), but they happily go along with Microsoft's stranglehold on the PC industry (Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Visual Basic.NET, C#, WiMP, mms streaming...)

Let's try not to make this the "Bash Rain" thread. Sorry if my comments about Apple offended anyone...
