Flickering Gray Screen

I know that this is listed in Ben's book as a "Dirt and grime issue" but has a flickering screen ever happened for a different reason?
For example:
If the screen flickers, is the cartridge connected incorrectly?

If not, what is the best way to clean the cartriges?

Try physically REPLACING the cart connector. It'll pay off in the future, and that's probably the culprit.

As for cleaning carts, take a q-tip and rub it. HARD. If a dry rub doesn't work, try some rubbing alcohol dilluted with water. Should fix the problem. I've also heard of people using an eraser to clean carts, but I've never personally tried it. Good luck!

yea usually a flickering Grey Screen falls in the cart being dirty, however, try making yourself a "Super" NES by disabeling the lock-out chip and the what but if you are planning to do that then you should probably go full horse and replace the "No insertion force" 72 pin connector ar at least recondition the one you got...
