I wish to know more about them. What emulators there are, how good they run, and if there is another version (gp3x?) coming out by christmas.

189$ plus shipping which comes out to about 205$ or so. the psp came out march 05 in the us the gp2x didnt start shipping preorders till november so the psp had an eight month headstart on hacking and whatnot, not to mention that the gp2x ships in very small numbers (first batch was about a thousand, second batch was around 3 thousand mk2 was around 4thousnad i think, not exact numbers) no there is no gp3x anytime soon, the gp2x has only been out like 10 months. posting on benheck with a psp isnt all that special, sony gives you all the crap you need (browser, built in wifi etc) gp2x depends on the ability of the devs and what they can come up with and whatnot. im a total gp2x fanboy i admit it more later

Wow, a lot of fellow GP2x owners here. I also own a First Edition. The PSP does have a few great emulators, but there is just so much more on the gp2x.
Its not for people who dont like do tinker though. There are a ton of ways to do things on the 2x, and also a ton of ways for idiots to get frustrated. Anyone with an hair of computer knowhow will love it.

OT: PSP has quite a few good emu's out, and i'm sure as the coding scene grows it will have everything that the GP2x has + N64 and PS1 (i know that there is a ps1 emu for gp2x but it is really slow and will never achieve even close to full speed)

I need a psp, just to see about the emu's. I'll ask vb! ....If I got a gp2x, I'd try to code snes for it.

EDIT: Does the game make any difference in the psone emu for gp2x? I still have my MMX4 copy...
