Are there any good games for PSP?

Post by nickerous »

I just ordered a PSP and was wondering if there are any good games for it. I've heard many people state that the system sucks unless you're gonna use it for emulation or music/movies. Are they wrong? No worries about spending my money on a lemon, this PSP is free! Couldn't pass it up. I could have saved my points and gotten a 360 in another 6-7 months, but I opted for the PSP now.

So, what commercial games are good? And, can I use homebrew on version 2.80?

Loco Roco, GTA LCS (and VCS when it's out).

And 2.80 will have a user mode TIFF eLoader comming out, check noobz.eu for updates on that. If you get a 2.71 without a TA-082 motherboard, I suggest you downgrade to 1.50 and just devhook to 2.71.

2.80/2.81 really has no point now there are no UMD's that require 2.80, and I doubt that you will get a 2.80 PSP, most likely a 2.50 - 2.70, but watch out for the TA-082's, they are a killer.

SOCOM: FTB is also fun, but i think that Medal of honor will be the new best shooter when it is released.

And yea, use 1.5 homebrew to run NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, GBA, etc. emulators.

Gradius Collection
Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins
Bust-a-Move
Y's Ark of Naphistim (loading time is horrible, but game is great imo)
Untold Legends 2
Burnout Legends
Mega Man Powered Up

These are a few of my favorites right now...I really enjoy this system very much! =)

If I were you, I'd try to find someone that isn't going to do homebrew and has a non TA-082 and trade with them.

that bites but right at the moment it looks like your best bet is to sit and wait for someone to figure out how to put homebrew on the 082s or swap with someone.
