Absolutely 100% no audio on SNES

Well I got another SNES. I took it apart, took off the on./off and reset buttons, and removed the 7805 (which I then connected to +5V from my screen. The SNES and screen's grounds are connected.

Video works perfectly (with the TV, as the screen is only being used as a power source right now) but I get NO audio. At all. Even when I hook it up to the seperate audio amp.

Any clue what's going on?

Is it possible the tv board isnt providing enough amperage? Try hooking the snes to another 5v input and testing.

TV board? I'll assume you mean the screen's PCB. And it's fine.

I know 100% that the problem is in the super nintendo.

The same thing happened to me on one of my SNES minis, Kurt_; and the news is not good. No matter what I did, the audio wouldn't come back; I tried an audio amp, jumping the headphone pins on my PSOne screen, nothing worked; turns out the sound component (I think it was the actual IC) was damaged somehow, and didn't work. I had to get a new SNES. Good luck, but you may have the same problem as me.

quick how is everything hooked up?

are you using a psone LCD?

If you are try hooking up JUST the Audio

If you get that to work...then clip you ground...worked for me...

I'm running everything to the TV using the multi out. Only power is hooked up to the screen.

The snes audio circuitry receives power from the input on the 7805 IIRC, if you are inputting 5V directly to the 7805 output, jump the input/output and it should work.

yeah you are right gannon this happened to me once before and doing exactly what you said fixed it

I had the same problem but mine was a grounding issue (before the exposed wires of my snes touched and shorted out...)

Odd though, this is my third mini, and the last 2 didn't do this.

Wow...4 SNESes. I sure don't know when to quit.
