Post by G-force »

Thought we could all list all the things that happened in 2004. Wether it was on the forums or in your own life, list it!
Heres some:

gannon and spongebuell became admins at doomportables.org

gannon became a mod.

cennar lost his weed.

I got my own computer(complete with a crappy wireless LAN that messes up all the time)

Ben put up a bunch of movie stuff for download(that I cant download cuase of slow dial up)

The sega exodus was made, as were all the project 42 portables, and the first ever PS2 portable, and the NOAC was made into a NESp.

jackfrost22 became sir-posts-a-lot

We all got scared when bens site got slashdotted

Ben started and finished a book.

Hmm...thats all I can think of right now and I have church tomorrow so thats good enough :D

Ben beat Sony to the release of a portable PS2.

Ben made a cheap and easy to build NES from a NOAC.

Ben again made a cheap and easy Genesis from the Radica.

I got a mac (yeah now I need internet again).

And we all designed a shirt for the forum, of which Ben has yet to offically pick a winner for.

gannon started the first portablizer store
Ben announced his book
abbibi is 4 months overdue, and he was supposed to be gone for about 2
I finished my 2600SP+ at last
Ben fried his soldering iron
first chatroom, and second
no spammers that didn't register (miraculously)
gannon had one whole night of sleep (I tell ya, it's pretty amazing)
(most likely) a record for number of portables done in a year by Ben due to Project 42

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

My thingy for 2004...

I got into this kind of thing

I closed down my Unreal Tournament Skins website (opened in 2003)

Me and my mates opened a wrestling company :)

A cheap NESp was made with a NOAC

A small GenP was made with a GOAC

I got really bored on numerous occassions.

I didn't go on hoilday :(

I built a really crappy Tape Player for my Megadrive (called Megatape Player, I only did 3 tapes  )

Impressed my dad by downloading a spectrum emulator and Head Coach

Collected all 11 issues of Retro Gamer this year and even got the anthology (Yes, I have Issue One and no intent to put it on ebay!)

Thats about it for my year, it was a pretty good one really... :D

2005 will be better, cos i'm getting a PSP! :)

Uhoh, hope none of you lot heard that... I don't like DS...

Somebody please buy my Dreamcast >_> £20+shipping :)

Does Cold Heat actually work? They pimp it a lot on the World War II channel (History).... it seems too good to be true.

The tip seems kind of large... does it work for accurate stuff?

And I don't need the free wire strippers cause I still have my teeth!
