If your looking for a nice large place to download these distros try;
iso.linuxquestions.org
or
Linuxiso.org
Both have a large collection.
And if your have limited ram try out DamnSmallLinux.org I know it was orginally based of Knoppix and so Debian but its been under heavy construction. Its barely like knoppix now and as it only needs a 300mb partion, the iso is 50mb and they have successfully run it on a 486 that can surf the net its not a bad choice. But do note that it doesnt come with many mainstram programs like Mplayer.

Do you have a bootloader or just getting to it by booting with the CD?
As for installing the only thing I can say to help you is to go and read the documentation they have for installation or read the back post from their mailing list, those are the only two sources I can think of.
