I have just received a spot light thing (one of those 2 million candle watt halogen things) and it has a 12 volt 3 amp lead acid battery (its sealed too so you dont have to worry about getting sulferic acid on you). It would be ok for a portable if you didnt care about weight because it is heavy.
It might be good for an xbox portable because that is already heavy, and I'm pretty sure that 3 amps is enought for almost anything.

Well that is one hell of a light, care not to blind people or give them skin canser.
As for the battery, you'll get about 1.x hours of use running the Xbox off it. Why do you think Ben has called it the SUV of consoles it needs 2 something amps.
