I thought that TI-84's came with a cable and it was just mini USB to USB (USB B to A)

I have a TI-89 Titanium. It sucks though, cuz at school they only use the TI-83, so you have to figure out how to do everything with your calculator, and I'm in trig now and I've used the calculator all of maybe 5 times over the 2-3 years i've had it. A simple scientific calculator works for most all calculations I've had shoved at me in school.

Another reason it sucks, is you can't use it on any standardized tests like the ACT or the SAT. I tried to use mine on this Asset test, it's used to see if the college thinks you are smart enough to enroll for dual credit, and they said the most advanced TI calc you could use was the 84.

I tried putting games on mine once and it just screwed up, and I just listen to music usually or try to program on it, so I don't have much use for games, not to mention just how uncomfortable the controls would be.

Ok, clearing stuff up:
TI-83+ Silver Edition- Only has 'I/O' port, but comes with (in the box) an I/O to USB plug
TI-84+(Either)- Built-in 'I/O' port on top-left, USB mini B on top right, recessed into case.

Okay, so I just downloaded this app, unzipped it, and saved it to my computer. I downloaded TI-Connect, and I have my calculator on there. Now what do I do? How do I get that game onto my calculator and run it? I'm lost!

Puzzle frenzy is so addicting. Same with blockdude.
My friend got the TI89, because he is also into science, and it has a lot of useful features.

Just take it out of the case and put it in a 84's case. They'll never know...
And CTFan, right click the calculator app you want to install, and there should be a send to calculator option or something like that.

why not just load a scientific calculator app on to your gameboy and use that.

or not bother, and just bring your gameboy anyway. really, nobody needs a graphing calculator for public school math--well nobody here does. but *everybody* needs a gameboy for the same public school math class.

I had a TI-84+ (not silver though) and it got stolen within a week. So now I'm back to writing simultaneous equation solvers on my boring old TI-83.

A scientific calculator would be very hard to use on a gameboy... You only got A and B. I like to draw on my calculator

I've drawn a scene from one of the zelda games as well as different logo's. It's really good to improve your pixel drawing.

That ti-83+ zelda is as good as the one for GB. The same people made the realsound app, meaning that we may soon see apps that run with sound!

Where is that app located, totokan? I read the information page on it, and it looked sweet; however, I couldn't find a download for the actual game!

I like to draw on my calculators too... with a Sharpie.

Little cheapy 8-digit calcs, mind you.

The more I read about TI calcs, the more I want one.

But since I already have a good scientific calculator for school, seems like a waste of money to me (for now).
