Would this connector work with NES carts?

Post by gamefreak301 »

I'm looking to replace the cartridge connector on my NES with another connector so I won't have to press the cartridge to the case every time I play it. I saw this connector on ebay and wondering if it would do the trick? It's got 72 pins, but I'm not sure what the pitch is for a NES cart. Any help would be great, thanks.

Ah, didn't think about the depth. Thanks for pointing that out, I was about to buy it but I thought I would double check on the benheck forums just to make sure..

It does... and it is :) I just got an FC/NES adaptor, and it's using that connector. The connector itself is flush with the case, so you'll need to make a small casing for this... I recomend superglue and the bottom section of an old defunct NES cart with some superglue/epoxy (thats what I'm using in mine and it's working out great!)
