snes problem

I can't get any video outta my snes mini

I had it working a day ago but not it doesn't want to play...

Are there any fuses that I could have blown?

what other problems could here be?

I'm asking these by rote: Ground connected? Connected video to right place? Probably yes to both, but that's all I got.

AS I said This was working a few days ago and now...nothing (so yes everything is hooked up right, 99.99999% sure)

the scenerio is that I was attempting a cart slot relocation but chickened out and then resoldered the contacts

Now I have my psone lcd hooked up with AV outs and can plug in anything that is a normal console and it will work

Now my issue is that I have the original snes mini AV outs hardwired in and the snes mini won't display on the screen

I know there is power since I examine the 7805 and the AV in and I jumped the power switch with an LED (correctly posiion because it lights up when turned on)

Now I need to know if there are any fuses or breakers on the snes mini board

ah ha the LED is sinful!

Jumping the LED fixed the problem

err...wouldn't jumping the led make a short between power and ground?

Not if you put a resistor there.

alright this is a mini SNES and I jumped the power switch with an LED

The way it would light up is of course the correct direction but the LED must have caused an impedence or should have been grounded...

But anyway I removed the LED and now it works!

ok now the problemhas relocated itself!

I believe my 7805 has died

I believe this because I recieve 7.2 volts on each leg of the 7805

And I had the thing running great this morning!
THIS PROJECT IS MAKING ME SOOOOO STRESSED OUT!

IT IS LIKE AN INFERIORITY COMPLEX ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH!

Anyway anthing you guys caould say to help with this problem would be appreciated

Well if you get 7.2V on both legs, meaning 7.2 volts throughout your snes, it might have fried it. Try getting a new 7805 and swapping the it out.

I'm going to jump the 7805 on my psone screen and see what that does...

also, fried, right now that isn't what I need to hear...

I am about to throw all portable projects away since I have wasted sooooo much money and It really depresses me that I have nothing to show for it

Whell that didn't work, now I just want to throw everything against the wall and jump out my second story window

I can't do anything right, damnit I feel like hrowing everything up for sale and abandoning the endevor that had excited me for months now, If I can't even get this snes mini to work (which I did this morning) I feel I should abandon this Crap, excerement excrement excrement

That's strange... Good 7805's have a protection build in so the voltage can never be the same. At least that's what I've learned... If you have the problem again, you can make one yourself easily. Just check out some datasheets and you'll find one.

sammy you are right!

Now what is REALLY happening is that all the les are functioning as a gorund (Yes I read my meter wrong)

I also know for sure that the 7805 is working properly since I removed it and applied 7.2 on the right leg and grounded the middle, the left leg produced a good 5 volts and now I( placed it back to learn that each leg was functioning as a ground this is :WTF: material

Now Am I fried or no?

I wish It is no since I had it WORKING LITERALY THIS MORNING!!!

I removed the controller port last night and reattached i today, now what could I have done to go wrong?
