n64 blues, mabye sleeping...

I have had my n64 running off its batteries earlier today but now It won't run...

But it did have an issue of overdriving the speakers and the n64 would come on temporarily and cut off...I thought this was the voltage drop in the batteries snce the speakers were driven and the system would shut off

But now it is behaving kinda dead-like

Any help would be appreciated!

Use...the....force....Original power adapter?

If it doesn't work, then be careful with it, and place it in a plastic container. Hot glue the container shut, then tape it shut. Make sure its air tight. Place in freezer. Return 10 min later. Worked for me

ok I am in the process of operation DEEP FREEZE If this doesn't help any other suggestions?

I have checked a zillion times and the voltages are the proper values, so the original power block shouldn't be required

Hmm. Remember, only 10 minutes. And still, some n64's are very ppicky. I definatly suggest an original powuh brick. And do you still have the plug? I have like, 3.

ok I am in process of deepr freeze, the only problem is that I don't have a piece to attach the powa brick!

How would attaching the original brick help?

Also, I had it working before... what could have gone wrong?

ok now operation deepfreeze fried my n64

I know it is fried because there was smoke and the LED no longer turns on!

boo hoo I didn't get the case air tight enough, and it stayed in too long,

oh well that makes the tally to 2 n64's fried

Umm, Last night, I used a tight aluminium case, covered with hot glue, epoxy, plastic wrap, and acrilic... If it doesn't turn on again, after a week, salvage the parts from it. The reset button works as a good tact switch, the power switch works well for a internal/controller port switch. And the LED is for fun.

What year was that n64?

wel this is n64 number three and it took an hour to hook up so I can't complain too much

But I seriously just need to get things done quickly and in a case before I make it three fried
