Wanted: Hip Gear ScreenPad Screen

the MB has 4802 on the left side and the ribbon attaches in the top right. I am sure that someone has a dead screen lying around. If so, could I get the ribbon cable from you?

Sorry for the confusion, I have it. But the ribbon cable doesn't come off the screen. We're talking about the PS2 controller screen, right?

yes, that is the screen. I see what you mean about the cable not coming off. I was really not wanting to spend too much. Do you know if the screen is still working?

I'm pretty sure it is... But I'm not 100% sure. I have no way of testing it because the mobo is shot.

Crono, this is the screen that was broken during shipping in the Nesp that I got from you. Was that a hipgear screen? if so that is what I need. I will take some pictures and post them as soon as I can.

there are two different kinds of hipgear/intec a one of them has a bigger mobo than the other and uses a different kind of lcd you can tell if they are the smae buy looking at the ribbon cable it is noticably different, id reccomend you guys exchanging pics of the broken lcd and the working one to see if they are the same

Okay, the screen looks like it's on upside down in the pictures... How did the ribbon cable even reach to the bottom of the screen? That's probably why it broke. But it looks the same... But I still don't get what's going on in the pictures. Although, my screen has the wires to the backlight unattached. So you have to resolder them or something.

If you were to slide the MB up tword the backlight wires the ribbon cable would be attached to the screen up there. The MB actually hides the screen. The reason the cable broke was due to rough shipping. Did you click on the pictures to see if the cable looks the same? PM me with the details of shipping and what not. Thanks Super!
