How rare is a complete, boxed, never opened Atari Lynx? And if I'm not mistaken, handhelds don't follow the whole PAL/NTSC system, right? What I mean is, if you get a system from Australia, you can use NTSC (American) games on it, right? Is there such thing as a PAL handheld?
And would it lower the value if it was from Australia?
EDIT: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1 There it is. It's kind of out of it's box, so it is kind of "opened", but it is still inside it's sealed plastic.

I'm totally the 2008th member.
I think like the Gameboy or Game Gear or other portables are set to not have any region coding. So if you got it from Australia it should be fine.
