I've never broken a bone in my life, except maybe a toe :) I guess the worst I had was when I flipped over the handlebars on my scooter when I was... I dunno, 9 or 10. From sliding across the road (I was going pretty fast down a hill) I burned a hole in the shoulder of one of my favorite shirts and scraped (pretty serious for the word 'scraped', it was bleeding pretty bad) my knee, elbow, and shoulder (duh), and I lightly scraped my hand, too. I've also had many similar experiences (minus the flipping over handlebars) on my bike...

I was riding my bike heading home. I took a steep hill in my town and got going very fast. i turned a corner and a little ways down i lost controll of the bike. the Handle bars couldnt maneuver the front wheel anymore. The Bike fliped over and i skidded down the road.i ripped the skin off my right arm and my right leg. Luckilly i was wearing a pair of blue jean pants, and a blue jean jacket. if i hadent been wearing those things who knows what could have happened.

When I flipped my scooter it was because I put my foot down funny when I tried to slow down (the brakes are broken)

Oooh, I remember, when they put like...a LOT of IV and some sort of liquid painkiller in me. I really don't know what it's like to get high..but I think I experienced it...started seeing Link and Metroid having shenanigans on Cpt. Falcon's ship...

Odd, but hey, it felt good, and err...hurt like hell when they took the pumper/needle/penile tube thingie out... :P

BTW...is any statement/fragment in this post quoteworthy?

I'll have to one-up you all. Ready?

5 MRIs, each at least 30 minutes long, at most 2 hours, and 2 constrasts during the MRIs, where they inject the thick, cold stuff into your veins. Mmmm.

A while before my surgery, I had:
2 units of blood drawn and frozen, which is when we discovered I had very deep veins which took a lot of tries. First unit, I was poked about....8 times. Second, 5 times. One of the two contrasts needed about 9 pokes before a suitable vein was found, which was in my WRIST.

The night before I had surgery, I had to give myself an enema. The first of many uncomforts.

During the surgery, I was all modded out with 2 surgical steel bars, 10 titanium screws, around 6 hooks. I was sewn up with biodegradadble stitches that dissolve on their own, and 47 staples, which later were taken out while I was wide awake.

Shortly after the surgery, I remember getting a suppository (Not the most comfortable thing). While asleep, I was catheterized.

I was first put on Perkoset for pain, and I didn't handle it well. I hallucinated...a lot. First, I saw pictures all over the room, most memorably a drawing of a cowboy on the wall. When my mom was helping me sit up, I thought I grabbed and broke a golden necklace around her neck - She was wearing no such necklace. I wouldn't get back in bed until all the little pieces of the necklace were cleaned up, and my Mom, the trooper that she is, changed the bedsheets, despite them being clean.

After the perkoset was done, I was put on regular pain drugs. I couldn't go to the bathroom (I mean...I could walk and sit down, but nothing would come out..You get the picture  ), which was when they did a CATHETER IRRIGATION, the most paniful experience I've ever had. They pumped alittle too much air into my bladder, and I was in severe pain for about an hour until they removed the catheter.

Well, that's my experience. I think I win, because pain is obviously a contest :P

Edit: Well, I forgot to mention a bit more information: The surgery took about 9 to 10 hours, performed in Springfield, Mass. When I got home, I had huge bruises on my arms, and I found out that they tried to get needles in my arms, but they had to try over 27 times before they got a vein.

My mom once slammed the door on my finger, and then locked the car and walked away even though I was screaming at her to unlock the car.

I was once starting to stand up to get out of the car. Halfway between sitting and standing I was almost out the door when my sister slammed the door on my head. Thankfully, after my previous surgery, I had developed a tolerance for pain :P

i have a rediculous tolerance for pain, its crazy. ive broken bones and gone through a carwreck the spot where the end of the clavicle connects near the shoulder joint was no longer connected, usually in broken collarbones you only distend or slightly tear the tendons connecting it to the shoulderblade, mine were completly severed, about a 1-2 inch gap between the shoulderblade and end of the clavicle, carwrecks are not fun

it landed laying almost upside down on the drivers side, i managed to prop myself up on my elbow to undo my seatbelt, then i stood up, waved down a car (my friend dan) walked out through the hole where the windshield was (still cant figure out how i managed to do that, its mebe a 10-12" hole from hood to roofline) didnt cry, just said "i think my shoulder is messed up" and i was bleeding from my elbow (cut on glass a bit), walked to dans car and he drove me back to the school, mebe half a mile or so. this was around 3:30, got to the hospital around 5:30, dad had to borrow our neighbors car cause ours crapped out. really sucked
