I found a datasheet for the "Composite-to-RGB" chip in the Casio EV-680:

Using the info in this, you could bypass it and input RGB directly to the screen. Enjoy!
EDIT: It also appears that this chip can convert S-Video to RGB, which could be useful for the N64 or any other device that has S-Video but not RGB.

YAY! I just succeeded in getting RGB into the pocket tv. It looks quite nice.
When I get time, I'll make up an easy to read picture of where the connections should go. So then you won't have to look through that long PDF and try to figure it out. (not that it was hard or anything)

Okay, the picture is all done. Just find this chip on the board and attach the wires in the appropriate places. For the R,G, and B lines, there is a resistor (or something) that you can attach the wire to. However, for the Sync pin, I couldn't find any component that connects to it. So, you have to be careful and solder to the chip directly.

I know this is an OLLLLLLD thread, so sorry for bumping it. I tried to get RGB input on my hipgear screen (which uses the same chip). However according to the datasheet, RGB input is pins 40,41 and 42 (which i used). I was unable to get it to work. I didnt think of tapping directly into the rgb out pins like it apprears you have. Im going to try it tonight. Another question: what are you using this screen with?

Ok, i tried this last night with a PC Engine. Not much luck. I was able to get a very distorted b&w picture. Tons of interference. I could barely make out the Konami logo in Salamander. Ive heard the PCE has a little bit weak RGB signal, so i suppose its due to that. Might try building some amps and trying again.
