Myth or Real?
Ok. Ive really wanted to know this for a long time. Are any of those websties that mail you free stuff? We have all heard of one kid on the internet saying Look at my fre psp! But noone has really ever proven to me that the sites are real. Im to afraid to do it because they ask you for so much information. So basically has anyone on this forum got anything free from a free website?

They're all pyramid schemes. (Why do you think you need 20 people to sign up so you can get something for free?)
If you ask me, I say it's all ridiculous. Your personal information is worth more than some silly game system or portable audio player. When it comes down to it, your identity is all you really have.

Most of them usually have you sign up for another companies service, like something like "Blockbuster Online".

Here's an article that talks about that kind of thing. After reading it I'm considering doing it. The only real deterent is my credit, and having to pay for crap I really don't want.

Anyone know anything about "OnlyPoints.com"? You play games to get points, but to ever get a real chance of getting something you do "promotions," the same kinds of things you would see as offers for free ____ websites. (eg you might get 40 points tops for a game but for a good promotion you get 500-1000, the super ones you get 1000-4000 (eg signing up for a new internet provider), and a non-credit card one is maybe 30-50 points. To give an example a PSP is 14000 something points, a DS is 9700 (I think), a GBASP is 4400 points, and an average DVD or Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 game is 2000 or so.)
I've heard good things about it, but I just wanted to make sure. I know they don't spam you. They only send you emails about new games available and stuff, although the promotion sites sometimes spam you, so you have to (or should) use a seperate spam email account.
If you sign up use my referral link, it gives me 10 points.
edit: fixed link
edit2: added info on non-credit card promotions and spam emails
