whats your worst ever SURGERY/INJURY or SICKNESS

Post by MESAJARJARBINKS »

Mine is when i was in first grade all i remember is being in the hospital i dont even know why anymore-i had a wicked high fever...some things i do remember are:

kicking the nurse in the face
telling my mom when she put a thrmometer in " MOMMY you pur the turtle in upside down"
when i had to get three shots one day i sat up and said " THREE SHOTS!?!?!!" in an utterly petrified voice.

I also recently had a surgery i dont want to talk about

and my grandmother is getting new kneecaps and today when i talked to her she sounded like she was in a lot of pain so im geussing she may not go for the other one...

I got food poisining during a 2 week trip to Egypt. Even when I got home, I had horrid Diarrhea & vomiting, & I couldn't eat. It finally got to the point where I fell over vomiting at the doctors office, was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, & was given an IV. (I even had to take a dump in a little container, & had to piss in a container twice, because my first urine sample was so dark-colored, they couldn't believe it was a recent sample!)

heh. i probably pwn most here as far as number of injuries and severity lol ive had no less than 5 breaks or fractures! collarbone when i was three, fractured ulna in 6th grade, broken wrist (end of the ulna i think) in 8th grade, fractured metacarpal in 10th grade and this year carwreck got me a seperated clavical from impacting the side pillar of the vehicle when it rolled, 2 surgeries (one to put a stainless steel pin in, one to take the broken pin out, yea it broke) and other than breaks and fractures ive had one life threatening illness, ITP aka idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura not plesant at all, bruises that wouldnt go away and one haemotoma from a bloodtest, my platelet count was less than 1000 per microliter according to local hospital, and basically 0 according to the hemotology unit in desmoines blank hospital, and i learned that corticasteroids (i was on prednizone) SUCK a lot, crap sideeffects.

well theres my life story lol!

I broke my arm jumping out of a swing way back in first grade. I had to sleep an entire night on that arm without knowing it was broken. Yeah, not fun.

Also, that was right while i was learning how to play piano. :(

Oh man, this one I just remembered isn't nesecarily serious, it's just damn embarassing.

I was running with my guitar downstairs to practice, and I slipped and fell. The whammy bar gouged me in the leg ("temporarily misplaced" the plastic cap).

Well this past winter was perhaps the worst time I've had the flu. I couldn't hold anything down, not even water for two days. Just thank god it only took 4 days to get the worst of it out of my system.

Oh and there's having my galblatter removed. 4 insitions in my gut, I wasn't standing up or sitting down very fast for the first week after the operation. The biggest problem are friends that know it hurts when you laugh, so they make it a point to throw you into a twisted state of pain and pleasure.
