Can someone tell me which SNES is which? I know theres 3 versions.

What version is it? What is the best version to portablize? Which SNES is which?

I only know of two SNES machines. That looks like the original. And I think the Mini SNES is best for portablizing.
I'm totally the 2008th member.

there are two obvious revisions, the mini snes and the original (the one in the picture) but there are 2 types of the original snes

one has a bulky board attached to it (i think it is for audio)
and another has the board built into it

there really is no way to tell these apart except for opening the system, you may be able to check the year on the bottom of the system though not sure which year you would want to look for though

Hmm thanks guys, atm im not willingly ready to open my snes, heh.
I already have the hipgear screen mounted to it using velcro.

Wrong, 3
The last one has a soldered on 1 piece cart. slot like the mini.

He's not. You can distinguish between the systems by the type of plastic they use. Revision 2 has the ugly yellow, and the first revision boards have a more aged look than the 3rd revision ones by several years (clearly).\

If I had to guess I'd say that's a revision 3.
