SNESp screen

I can't seem to find a psone lcd screen within my price range. So can I use a TFT LCD display from a portable dvd player? It's 6 inches wide and about 3.3 inches high. Will this work? Also do I have to put in the white L.E.D.s?

I'm very new to this so sorry if I sound stupid. It's a nice screen with nice speakers too.
