Does anyone know where i can find a really good HTML guide? Im doing something for a website and i wanted to know a good guide for it. Lets see if html will work on this website.....

No, the <tags></tags> don't work on forums. [tags][/tags] are what work.

And try either BoogieJacks.com or BoogieJack.com and if you have the money, get his book. It teaches you a lot. I don't know if his HTML section is free anymore (I think it's called HTML Wizard or something?), but give it a shot, because it's really good.

Almost all my links and pictures here have been entered with HTML tags, not BBcode. I don't like BBcode.

so i dont get it. how do i make html work on this website? i really want to because i learned a few kool things.

You don't, only a few tags are allowed. Right now it's the following: b, i, u, pre, img, a, s

There's no point. You Marquee signature would be annoying. And if you really want it to scroll like that, just make it into an animated GIF and then put that image into your signature.

If all HTML was enabled, people could inject some nasty things into their signatures... Javascript, especially, can do a lot of things (including some stuff that would put a virus on your computer without you knowing, besides from antivirus) Also, people could put in flash videos with sound, which can get really annoying really quickly.

This is the tutorial I used. One thing that I really like about it is that it teaches it to you so you remember it, they don't just tell you what tags do what. It also delves into JavaScript a bit.

Oh yeah, you can do that. One day they did that over at the OIFY. Proclaimed the "best day ever." People were messing it up, it was hillarious.
