Pass through internet connection?

I have wi-fi in my house, and so I don't have a line to connect my Xbox or PS2 to for online play. So I was wondering if there was some sort of program for PC that lets me pass a wireless internet connection from my wireless card through my DSL card to my Xbox/PS2. I don't know what to look for on google or anything so I hope you can help.

Internet Connection Sharing, connect your Xbox/PS2 to your computer with an ethernet cable, enable ICS, turn off your firewall, and it will work.

I do that for the second computer in my house, but it's a pain if you want things to be secure too. Try it for a week, and if you have no problems, don't change anything. Otherwise, you'd be better off buying a cheap router.

which card do I enable ICS on, my wireless card or my ethernet card?

Really depends on your OS. I have my wifi card setup in AdHoc then route it to my nic, but I don't have DHCP or DNS setup so I use a static address and have to manually specify my ISPs DNS servers. Works good though

I had to do the same thing with my computer for my xbox.
So your computer gets internet from wireless and you what to send it to your game consoles through ethernet, right? If so, go to your wireless properties, the advanced tab, and check the top internet connection sharing box. Then you can send that internet out the ethernet.

I used to do that with my laptop and my XBOX, theres hardly any lag at night, surprisingly. And I could adjust my laptop for better reception

Note that, if you are using ICS, if you directly connect a cat5 cable between the xbox and pc, nothing will work. You need a crossover cable.

Ya, you can make one by switching a few wires (thats what I did).
