I don't really have a vacume table or plastic...

This screen is so damn small, even if it was lit right, I couldn't see it unless it was in my face! Great for a NOACp but not a PacmanP that's at least 2 feet away from you! Is a PSone screen way way better?

Way way.

I'd go with the PSOne screen if it's possible, and maybe get some anti-glare material if you're going to play outside.

The PSOne screen already has anti glare. Get it from ebgames.com or ebay.com.

Here's some from ebay:

Xbox Zeinth. 50$ plus $10 shipping.
PSOne screen (same as above, but a different package) for the same price.
EbGames. Same price (not sure about shipping), but back ordered.

I say go with the Ms. Pac-Man version because it comes with a wireless option helping you from haveing a lot of wires to deal with. As for covering the controller, what I would suggest is this:

You'll keep the pac-man theme there and have good protection from the rain as well. You can do something similiar to this for the screen, but have it as a retro arcade cabinet.

I like the arcade cabinet for the screen idea, but I already did my cup holder design for the game. And it doesn't look half bad! It'll look way better with black paint on the wood.

Here it is in the wood.

There is a hole so you can fit your finger in there to turn it on and off.

There is also a spot for the AV cable.

The bottom comes out a little bit. It stays in very well.

I'm going to take real pictures tommorow. Like of the chair.

You should look into the wireless Ms.Pac-Man unit though to keep the AV cable going from one arm to the other. Just a thought...

You WILL sand that right? Andif you're going to paint it, you should fine-tune the edges so it fits perfect. With paint, you won't need to use wood for that...

Wait, what? Won't need to use wood? And this is the prototype. The real thing is already cut into the arm of the chair and it's much nicer looking.

Well, I put it together today! Here are some pictures in chronological order. Paint is tommorow.

Here's the back before it was put on the chair.

The seat. (Not done drawing)

The skirt.

The arms. The hole is where the joystick goes.

The back is on the seat, but it has to lean against somthing.

Check out the brackets!

The skirt is on!

Everything's in place, but not screwed yet. The arms are held on with clamps.

The support beam is screwed in place, but the arms are just laying on it.

Close up of the left arm.

It's put together! And the joystick.

Okay, this joystick hole isn't THAT much better, but with a coat of paint, it should be harder to see the gaps.

The A/V cable goes around the back of the chair to connect to the non-existent screen. (I can't see the screen I have in the sun, and it's really small.

I'm painting tommorow, so look out for new pics! Probably no screen though, because I don't have one.

P.S. Sorry if your 56k thing caught fire or something. Duct tape should fix it!

Horray for double posts!

And horray for the pictures being up!

Here's the stencil I used to make the little Pac-Man and the little ghosts. It has 3 layers for the ghosts. The basic ghost shape, the eyes, and the pupils. And the blue ghosts just have that wierd face.

This is the chair after I masked out Pac-Man.

This is the back of the chair. It was the first part that I painted.

Here's the chair with everything painted black and the ghost and name masked.

Here it is after I painted the colors for Pac-Man and the ghost. I ended up redoing them with brighter colors.

Here it is after I took the masks off and after I realized that the black was supposed to go on first...

Here is the right arm! The eyes are not on yet.

And now they are! I think this is the best part of the chair.

Here's the back almost done! (Don't worry, the black thing on the ghost was painted over)

Pacman needed some touchup work...

And it's done. Sorry I didn't do the maze, this picture was actually taken way after the class was over, so I had to go home. I thought it would ruin it anyway.

And this is it's final resting place in my back yard!
