Hey everyone, i'm new here and im going to attempt a sega genesis portable. I was wondering (since I am terrible at desoldering) if i can just put the video wire inside the number four hole, would it show the video on the screen?
I think you'd have to have a wire hit ground as well. I'm also interested in knowing this, because I have a genny 3 I got at Goodwill that I'd like to make sure works before I hack it to bits. I don't want to spend $8 for something I'd only use once.

As long as it makes contact with the terminal inside the plug, yes. However you also have to hook up the screen's ground (the outside ring of the yellow plug) if you want to see a picture.
