If you're using the Jakks Pacific Namco one, then there is only one man board, everything else is for buttons. And ya, the battery snaps are attached to the case, but you can easily remove 'em.

I don't know if there's room... But I'll try it. So after I move the mobo, I can just saw off the lump and relocate the battery pack? Can this run off the same power as the screen?

Yes, I'm using an Intec screen in the opposite arm of the joystick. Only problem being that I can't see it in the sunlight. What should I do?

I'm going to try to get some in the making pictures tomorrow. It should be done by Friday because that's when the day camp ends. And that's where I'm building it.

But here's an update to keep you happy!

I made the back of the chair, and the part you sit in. I started to cut the ghost's head in the back but I ran out of time. Also, I decided not to relocate the battery pack and just do the cup holder type thing. I traced where I want to cut for the prototype, but I didn't cut it yet. (Ran out of time.)

I'll post tommorow with pictures.

What about one of those hood sort of things? I'll see if I can find a pic of what I'm thinking of.

As for waterproofing, just get some kind of latex paint and spray it over everything. Or use ziplock bags and superglue.

I tryed putting my hand above it but it didn't change anything. I even took off the reflective plastic thing but then I couldn't even see if it turned on. Anything else?

This is what I was thinking of.

If something like that doesn't help, maybe make the backlight brighter somehow (how you would do this varies with the kind of backlight, like adding more leds if thats what it uses.

I would go with some vac molded plastic, to sort of match the other arm's plastic and such.
