Hey, me and NESBest went to our local flea market today and he picked up another Genesis 1, we couldent get it working, so we opened it up and inside we notcied wires soldered to different points on the board that I notcied in my genesis 1, I have some pictures below:
Genesis-1 models are not all the same. In fact, there has been estimated to be at least seven revisions to the US-NTSC motherboard chipsets over the years, before the Genesis-2 arrived.

hm...we both bought a Genesis today, I bought a Genesis 2 and he bought a 1, both from the same person, both do not work and we noticed that both had wires where they normally dident, my 2 had a wire running from negative to another point, we also thought if we cut them maybe it would work, we cut the wire on mine and it dident work but we havent cut the wires on his
That's a CCO = Change Control Order, and is done by SEGA at the factory.
Cutting the wires just permanetly killed the Genesis, unless you re-attach the wire.. Listen, I've read your other topics, stop cutting wires you don't know!
