Screen Distortion

Right, got me a lm317bt, hooked it up and it turned on fine but there was kinda fuzzy gray noise accross the top of the screen. I Did a search here and see people had kinda the same problems with the TI. Anyone have any ideas?

hmmm there seems to be less distrotion when i take out the expansion pack and use a non expansion game.

It might be that the lm317bt isn't providing quite enough amps, because I think the expansion pak draws more power. Are you using the lm317bt to power anything else, if so you could maybe remove that and see if it gets enough amps.

well the problem with TI convertes is related to them being a completely differnet kind of regulator (switching).

did you put capacitors on it?

not powering anything else, and capaceters are there.
