Can I use a TI-84 SE Screen

For a front light mod. I have it sitting open infront of me and I want to do it. Would the sheets from watchs be a good idea(el sheets?)

Yeah but it broke an hour or two after I did it. Wires shorted I think the whole laminating thing was the problem./
