Ben's video game movie!

Take a look at Mortal Kombat. I think they actually did a good job on it. The only video game movie that I have ever seen that has been decent. In fact, I love it.

Now, Doom. Great plot, scientists are experimenting with a teleporter and accidentally open up a portal to Hell and Mars gets invaded by the forces of Satan. In the movie, they change it into some sort of virus that infects people and turns them into zombies. What the hell?. They had a great plot and a huge fan base to work with and they completely screwed it up!!! And what is with the "Big Force Gun"?? The soldiers repeatedly use "offensive" language, and they change the name of the weapon that has become synonymous with Doom. It's the BIG copulate GUN!! I know girls in my class that have never even touched Doom who know what the BFG is, what it stands for and where it came from.

Oh, and if you haven't picked up on my subtle-ness, I think you should re-make Doom.

How about instead of turning a game into a movie, how about turning a show into a game! Think about it, how about "Three's Company, the videogame"!!! It could be an MK hack! Jack could fight Mr. Furley & stuff!

It was some retrovirus designed to modify the normal human gnome to gain the supe rabilities of the fossilised race.

Zelda would be cool, yes... but I just don't see how it can work. Metroid... well, I think we can all agree that Ben just does NOT have the kind of software he would need to make a good Metroid movie. Sorry.

I'm all for Metal Gear Solid. I can actually see Ben as Solid Snake. With the bandana, the face paint, a fake tranquilizer gun... Wait, he already HAS a fake tranquilizer gun!

I think Ben's serious/goofy personality could make a great MGS movie FILLED with parodies! It wouldn't be hard to make that movie funny with as many MGS parodies as there are. "What was that noise?"

And of course, lots of hiding under boxes. Wow... yeah, Ben HAS to make an MGS movie. I just have one scenario after another playing in my head. I'm rambling because my mind is thinking of stuff faster than I can type it! Ben, what do you think? You've GOT to do an MGS movie!!!

Edit: Come on guys, can't you see Ben sneaking around corners with his gun and hiding under boxes?

I think I am capable of writing a script and maybe even making rough story boards, although it will take a while. Maybe ben can take it from there.

I'm not sure my post was quite clear. I wouldn't make the movie for $1 (are you insane) I'd DIRECT IT.

That is, if someone else produced it, much like the ghost documentary I'm shooting next week.

I am never making a movie with my own money again! Too expensive.

Still, go right ahead postulating good movies to make. Zelda isn't really my favorite "genre" (I don't care much for movies with swords and stuff, ie Pirates of the Carribean, midevil films) but I agree, it'd be a sure-bet at the box-office.

Now, as a real box office movie, it would flop. As a nice little inside joke, it would rock. What we need is a DECENT Grand Theft Auto movie!
