OK, I'll stop bashing DreamWeaver & FrontPage, but I'll say this: If you use them, then you shouldn't take the credit of knowing HTML...

I know my website isn't hte best looking, but it doesn't go w/o reason:

-Fast Loading time
-It's an information website (or at least it will be once I add a lot more text to all the pages), not a super-mega-awesome-eye-candy-site
-It looks like a DOS app

If you use them, then you shouldn't take the credit of knowing HTML...

And I swear, that picture in your About Me page is SO... rad.

I know some HTML yet use dreamweaver. I get the main aspects done in the editor mode then I use the code mode to do the rest. It does not add any extra crap, at least nothing compared to FrontPage or, BLURGH, word.

Ah, I know what you mean! I once tried using Word as an HTML editor when I was 9, & it's like it took a HUGE dump all over my code! I had to spend a whole 3 minutes to delete all that extra crappy code!

Well, I'd suggest using frames. They help me a lot. Also, if you do them right, they look really good! I mean, look at Ben's page!

Frames have to be the ugliest type of format. I'm sorry, they are just so old.

Frames are all right, if you can get them to look ok (usually just taking the borders off does the trick). :P
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

My site used to have frames, and it looked pretty nice, but search engines do NOT like frames... at all. So that didn't work out. Now I just have a simple HTML website with some javascript thrown in, and a php-based store. My website's pretty slow, but I think a lot of that has to do with my sever.

i dont see how atari2600a can compare his website to mine.. i mean, i have a registration script written in PHP by ME, (with an adjustment or two by spongebue), login script written in PHP by ME.. i mean, thats just some old HTML stuff.. even so, why even take credit for knowing HTML.. its the most basic language there is.. even then, i still dont consider it a language..
