Nokia N Gage QD Vs T Mobile Sidekick

Ok guys. I have decided to get a new phone. These two phones are both really amazing. I want some new features like these new ones have. The only cool thing on my other phone was the buttons lit up. So I have some money and these phones are cool. So which one? I like the Sidekick because of the keboard and stuff. But I like the N Gage QD because I can play video games on it.

I might actually be the only person to say NGAGE. Sure, it gets a lot of flack (some, maybe well deserved), but I'm sure not all of the games are bad. That, and 12 year old fanboys saying "ROFLMAO IT LOOKS LEIK A TACO" may make it a collectible system in the long run.

I don't know much about the phone aspects of it though.

My dad had a bag phone for work back in the day, he said it was great (besides the fact that it was big enough to need a bag).

Me too. Who actually NEEDS a phone, MP3 player, text messager, butt scratcher, nose picker, TV remote and coffee maker in a phone? Not me. I have an old Nokia 282. It's not as huge as thar cancer brick, from what I've seen it's just a little bit bigger than a Razr. Razor. RayZerr. Whatever. (Gillette must get a share of Motorola's profit...) It can't text message, it can't take pictures, it can't have custom ring tones. What can it do? It can call out, pick up the line, recieve calls, hang up, and let me talk to people. That's all a phone is needed for. Games? Don't need them on a phone. Text messaging? Overpriced. Picture message? Bring a camera. If you want all kinds of fancy crap in a phone like games and pictures, get a Treo smartphone. You still have telephone functions but you have a camera and all the software that runs on the Palm operating system. I'm just fine with my 8 year old Nokia, thankyouverymuch.

Great now I'm nostalgic for the heyday of the pager.

N-Gage, i had one and they rock! Once you get it i'll show you some of the coolest features, make sure you get a big MMC card too

Ive had both. If your more into messaging and email, get the Sidekick. The sidekick has probably the best mobile keyboard ever IMO. All the apps are super integrated on the sidekick, and working with data between them is a breeze. Im currently using a sk2 as my phone.

If your more interested in gaming, get the N-Gage. If nothing else, get it for Pathway to Glory. Its one of the best (if not THE best) multiplayer strategy games EVER, on any platform. I regret selling my QD, and actually since picked up another copy of Pathway to Glory just to play in the future. There is also a sequel that i havnt tried yet.

startac owns! an awesome fact about the old analog cellphones is they are a hell foa lot more powerful that the new digital ones, digital phones only put out about 800mw of signal strenght, the startac is about 1w the old bricks are close to 3w and the old bag phones and carphones were around 5w of signal strenght, you can call from FREAKING ANYWHERE with those things and get a signal. i desperatly want an old cell like the moto brick or a startac just to use

I would have to say the Ngage. I had a friend who had one and it was very cool. Just like someone said, get a big mmc.
