Xbox DVD drive

Well, I just softmoded 2 of my friend's xboxs' but one of them won't read burned CD-RWs! So I was wondering which xbox DVD drives read burned CDs (I mean to know the brand and such).

yeah i'm assuming that you found out with softmod you can read any disc with any drive, but to answer your quiestion it is a Samsung b that can read anything

Yep, and you can find out what it is because the trays are different, mines a Samsung.

Yeah, it's a Samsung. I have a Samsung, I can read like everything.

You can convert certain PC DVD drives for Xbox use. Here's some tutorials pertaining to that.

If you need help with any Xbox modding info, you can get me on AIM or MSN.

Aren't Samsung drives kinda rare? At xboxrepairguide.com they are the most expensive, but my friend and I both have samsungs.

They are in demand to replace Thompsons and Phillips because those suck.

Use Krazie's Ndure, it's the best. My Ndure'd with Samsung 1.1 'box reads CD-RW's fine. I even have a CD-R that works (NO NAME!!!).
