ground wire and single audio?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

ground wire and single audio?

Post by Pasquallie14 »

I understand where to put the V-, V+, and the Video. But, where does the audio/video ground wire attach to? (It's an audio and video ground on the same wire) Also, what exactally does a ground wire do in simple terms. I am using the Intec Screen Pad from the PS2 (2.5 TFT) if that will help.

On the audio problem, i have a super sonic gold radica and it only has a white (Left audio) wire but the sound comes out both speaks in the tv so, should i attach both the Left audio and Right audio wires of the intec screen pad to the one Left audio wire from the Radica?

Thanks everyone on the forums, I can actually almost make something which was a dream two weeks ago lol,
Pat.

Yes. I don't have any experience w/ the Radica, but you might be able to find a trace on the PCB w/ the Right-channel audio...

Can you awnser my ground wire Q?

Edit: Ok, from what i read this is my conclusion, i would connect all the negative wires to the ground then to the power supply?

In the DC world, ground is simply the negative terminal/connection/whatever. Connect the audio ground, video ground, and power ground all together; ground is ground.

Here's the pinouts for the Intec screenpad. This really belongs in the screen hacking forum... moving.

And yes, with just mono sound coming out of the Radica, connect both speakers to the one audio output. You could only hook up one, but then you would only have sound coming from one speaker.
