Some People just dont understand portables. I built that portable I was gonna sell. He knew it would cost like $100 so I told hime how much it was and he said Ill just buy a snes on ebay for $3

. Then some of my friends were like why do you build it just get a psone with a screen and battery pack. At my gamestore Im a God though. Has anyone else have people call them crazy and stupid?

hmmm... I haven't really taken my atari many places, but I can imagine what it would be like if I did, based on the question I get every 5 minutes with my GP32, "whoa, what is that?"

When I did bring it to school for lasering or to work on it during my electronics class it would draw a fair amount of attention. One girl at lunch thought it was a radio or something, and was amazed upon hearing that it is/will be a video game system.

I think that, like Americanized Japanese cooking (dunno if it's really done like it was in a restaurant I went to in Japan, but I doubt it) is an art when done properly.

yeah, when I showed off my snesp I used Zelda to play on it. The standard reaction was "Why do all that when you can just buy zelda on the gba"

Even when I showed my GTA they were like why pay $50 for a nes when you can buy th egames for SP and you klnow whay I said I DONT HAVE A GBA

everyone has there own hobies and needs and wants to some portable dose not sute there needs outhers it dose some have the skill to make one outhers dont

I think JackFrost was talking about the Game Theory Admiral. Anyway, I don't have a screen, and don't really need a website (doomportables works for what I have) It's not really version dependent, since I technically only have one. I'm too tight on money at the moment to risk wrecking delicate electronics by trying to portablise them, so I go the easy way and just use my GP32

Once I get a job, I'll have to have a go at making one, though.

Sometimes I get "Why not use a GBA?", but most of the time I get people calling me either crazy or a genius.

I believe more people will go for the later once they see Doom running on it, though. ^^
