Xbox power supply help

I just got a new old xbox for free from my auncle, the problem is, a couple of years ago their house was struck by lightning, and even though the Xbox was on a surge protector strip, it still got blown. My question is, can I jump or replace any fuses or other things on the power supply rather than buying a completely new PSU. He just got a 360 so all is good in his gaming world.

The best solution is to get a new one from Llamma's store for $25.

I don't know of any fixes for the powersupply.

Question: Have you even looked inside? If there are any fuses (It's been 2 years since I was last inside an xbox), they can temporarily be bypassed by wrapping them in foil*

I have looked inside, that's why I asked, didn't see anything so I wanted to know if there waas something I missed, and by the way, It is a version 1 xbox

Just buy a new powersupply from Llamma's store.

ok I found what might be the fuse. It is wrapped in black electrical tape type stuff, but it looks exactly like a fuse wrapped in electrical tape. Here is a rough diagram

would it be safe to jump it fo testing purposes, aylast until I get a new fuse?

Unless a component past the fuse is fried, what could be the harm?*

(Make sure it's a fuse though)

Check its resistance. If it is 0 it should be a good fuse, if no conection it might be a blown fuse, if its a random number it is likely a resistor.

It is far to massive to be a resistor. I am at my uncles house anyway so I don't have anyof my tools

update: The power supply is completely blown, so I now come to you with more questions, can a standard ATX PSU be rigged to a gen one Xbox and if so are there any good tutorials on it, and the next question is, will an older 90watt PSU work even though the Xbox PSU is 98watts? thanks

how about YOU ANSWER MY QUESTIONS OR NOT POST AT ALL, RATHER THAN TELL ME ABOUT SOMETHING THAT I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT AND DON"T WANT TO DO!!! The reason I want to do an ATX PSU is because I wnt to see if the xbox even works in the first place, I am going to buy a new one from Llamma after I can conferm that the Mobo and drives are not toast.

Version 1.0 and 1.1's don't have ATX style connectors, therefore it's impossible (well, probably).
