FRIKIN' SWEET!

Post by Krepticor »

I finally broke down for a dreamcast!

For $5! (No lie $5 working, no power cord $2 later at a goodwill store and I am set but non the less, cheap!)

Anyway there is more to this post or the mods will get furious, the point is that I did not realize how good the ol' dreamcast was (I knew it was much better than the PS2, but not that much better!)

Anyway I also, loaded up DreamSNES and I am hooked on the Dreamcast fever!

Anyway I really want to know some more of the must haves of homebrew for the Blessed SEGA console of Bliss!

If you're a big fan of the 16bit era (like myself) you should be able to find the Genesis/SegaCD emulators. I have one that has over 300 roms, and really you can't beat the good old game General Chaos. Ah there are also some 8bit emulators. I don't know if anyone made a fully working PS1 emulator but you can look at that.

If you know about Dreamcast homebrews and emulators then you know the places to find that kind of stuff.Otherwise PM a member and ask them, just don't ask on the forums.

The only other this is I've heard of dummy files, it would likely be good to look into learning how to make and implement them to save the GD-Rom from harm.

@ Sparkfist, well I kinda wanted to post the forums so I could get multiple points of view, I really like stuff that is dog dumb eas to set up, like the DreamSNES

@Atari I know they are pretty general AC Cord receptors but I found one for $2 and thought It could have its own and be very happy, blah blah blah, I found one and was happy, problem solved

Well you can go as far as talking about how to burn them and what-not. I just have to make it very clear that we/you/anyone can't discuss where to get roms or anything illegal like that.

Remember kids, Emulation is like Masturbation! If you do it, you'll turn to stone or make an angel cry or something...

Well if you can find a good N64 emulator you can see if Grand Theft Portable would work.

Dude, that's it!

I shall create a video of someone banging on the bathroom door saying something like "Jimmy, why are you taking so long in the bathroom? Are you emulating?" (Voice from inside the bathroom) "No, don't come in!"

Then cut to someone sitting on the toilet, w/ a laptop running an emulator on the hamper!

It could be the perfect advertisement for my website!!!!

Well if his Dreamcast is a rev. 2 it won't play those disks unless it was mod chipped. You can tell if you flip your Dreamcast over and read the label. In the bottem left corner where it says NTSC or PAL, to the left there is a circle with 0, 1, or 2. That's the revision number.
