How much did you buy it for? (&, Seeing you live in Australia, how much would that be in US dollars?)

Kitty! :P

Ahem... yeah, anyway... this is strange to me, as I've never seen a DVD player with an actual DVD-ROM player in it. This is interesting. I wish I could figure out how you might be able to interface with that display...

Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm actually more interested in the decoder board. I'm wondering if you might be able to use a different DVD-ROM drive with it; then it might play all DVDs. You could mount the board in your computer, mount a dedicated DVD-ROM drive in a spare drive bay and hook it up to the decoder board rather than your motherboard like usual, then hack up the display panel to fit in a spare 3.5" bay. Then you'd have a DVD player built-in to your computer! I mean, come on, how TOTALLY worthless would that be?

That's kind of cool. I'll have to remember this if I ever need a new/replacement DVD-Rom. I don't know what you could do with it, you might find a use for the PSU, but unless the case has good ventalation I wouldn't use it for a PC case.

Ah, here we call it Neighborhood Cleanup, or as I like to call it: "vintage video-game & computer collecting day"! :p
