The information was still related to the topic at hand, and as with any forum let the topic starter or anyone who is looking for this kind of information determain if it's relevent or not.

As for the topic at hand, don't know much about the PSP, don't own one for starters. I have heard and seen of an addon that you can buy that aloues you to connect several differnt media card tyes, and I'm not sure if it's the same item or a differnt one, but an addon that has a 4GB 1.8" hard drive. So look for those, I know they exsist, someone might mentino where they are.

Yes, it is possible if you can interface the hard drive to the memory stick slot. This can be done with a serial connection, but is limited to 128MB. It can also be done with a parallel connection and is limited to 32GB. If you don't know what these terms mean, I suggest you back away now.

i understand some. how hard would this be and does it matter what hard drive.

If you want an out-of-the-box 4GB hard drive for your PSP, as well as a nice 2x capacity battery, just get this:

Anyway, that product gives you 4GB, twice the battery life, and it looks pretty good (actually makes the PSP easier to hold). Of course, you'll have to sell a kidney just to afford it... maybe find a de-hard-drived unit on eBay and stick in your own drive?

yeah i seen it a while ago but i am looking for something taht holds more and is not as thick.

I'm afraid you can't get much smaller than that. Whether your PSP gets thicker or longer, its gonna change dimensions one way or another...

One of those things could at least be used as a base for whatever you need. You could forget the 2x battery and make your own wire to connect the hdd- it would just be some soldering work is all.

i would rather it be longer and skinier and have a lot more memory.
what about what iam1805 said. would that work fine and be easy. i want at least 20 gigs and a smaller one for i could put it in the umd drive.

well zagalo, you must understand that by upgrading to 2.8 you are severely limited in your options.

If you had 1.5 you could actually use an ipod running ipod linux and connect to it via USB for 20-30 gigs of storage.

and iam, although you can downgrade from 1.5 to 1.0, it is incredibly useless, as the only reason to have 1.0 is to avoid kxploit, but now with custom firmware on 1.5, you can hide corrupt icons by flashing the chip, or just have no kxploit, not to mention have it autorun devhook, not autoboot umd, skip bootup video, etc.

Only the one meant for the PSP. You pretty much screwed yourself when you upgraded. If you were on 1.5, there is a way to get unlimited space, but you're not, so, too bad
