psp memory

ok first of i did not know which forum to put this at. ok is it possible to rig any type of hardrive like an ipod or anything to a psp. can you also hook up a ipod to a psp via usb. i am just trying to find a way to expand the psp memory. i figure no on all this but did not know for sure if you can rig up a hard drive to your psp manually.

if you have firmware 1.5, then you can use iRShell (v1.6) to wirelessly (or via usb) stream files to your PSP, thus giving you an infinately large memorysick.

you can only downgrade 2.0, 2.5, and 2.6.

I'm not trying to be mean here, but if you are 2.8 you are probably screwed.

There is no advantage to it yet, as devhook can emulate up to 2.71 on a psp version 1.5, and i HIGHLY doubt that a downgrader will come out for many months if ever, and by the time one does come out, 3.0 will be out and i guarantee everyone with 2.8 will upgrade to that, thinking that a downgrader won't ever come.

Thats what happened with many who had 2.6 and didnt care for eLoader. They just upgraded to 2.7 for the loco roco demo and one week later a downgrader came out for 2.6

i dont care about downgradeing cause of a ps1 emulator coming out. i just want more storage space.

Because this thread is related to PSP and what I posted was also related to PSP. People were also already talking about firmware downgrading, and I was just correcting somebody's statement.

Yes, it is possible if you can interface the hard drive to the memory stick slot. This can be done with a serial connection, but is limited to 128MB. It can also be done with a parallel connection and is limited to 32GB. If you don't know what these terms mean, I suggest you back away now.
