I need advice, benheck.

i probably do have a mild form of ADD(if ADD as they describe it even exists), no medication for me thanks! screw all this crap psychotropic drugs to "make you learn better":roll: and crap,i dont need drugs, hell when i had a broken collarbone and had a steel pin put in it i didnt take more than a few painkillers the whole time, like one a day for a couple days afterwards. I learn stuff when i think i need to know it, when it will be of use to me, i dont like to learn stuff that i wont ever use. and as for love, i never intended to have a girlfriend till after highschool but, heh, stuff happens lol, we arent going out anymore but i have no regrets having done so, she is still one of my best friends. best thing i can say, school in general sucks and love is weird and confusing, people who say they understand love and stuff like that are talking out their ass

Ok, this doesn't sound like the product of home schooling. Believe me, in high school I had a couple classes with a guy who was home schooled up to that point, and he was just fine. I remember he said he got a lot of social experience when they went different places after he finished the required work.

The problems you listed (not knowing how to hold a conversation, hesitant to strangers, not knowing how to communicate very well) sound more like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_Syndrome">Aperger Syndrome</a>, an Autism-spectrum disorder which effects social skills, not side effects of home schooling. People afflicted with it generally have a more difficult time dealing with people, but are otherwise "normal". (Believe me, I know.

) Of course, as with everything, the symptoms and severity thereof vary from person to person. Chances are he has a psychological disorder to some extent.

Aspergers Syndrome seems extremely common these days

All my cousins have it, every single one. Me, and my brother, both have OCD's. However, I have actually seen my half brother, who lacks the supposedly pre disposed genetics that cause it in one side of my family, does occasionally copy obcessive compulsive disorders we do. But sort of does them when he is bored and is just mimicing us for now reason.

I hope I don't have it...

I'm homeschooled

And I think G-force is as well. I was homeschooled for 6 years and those were the times I learned the most. On average I took 2 hours to get my work done. That leaves a lot of time for, you guessed it, socializing! Instead of running around to classes or dodging potheads I got to hang out with other kids my age (actually of all ages) and not be looked down upon because I hadn't gone through puberty yet.

Same here, also I use lots of computerized stuff to help me. I'm still bad at math though, I barely made it mast Algebra 1 and need to repeat stupid Geometry *grumbles*. But on the flip side I did what would be considered high-school level science my last year (and maybe second to last year I need to look at the transcript) of junior high so I guess I'm not entirely hopeless.

About the girl.... umm... yeah I pretty much agree with Marshall and Chrono, you need to hold out for a bit, and find some non-dating related thing you can spend time doing. I fill my time shooting (small-bore during the week, high power about every other weekend) and messing about with computers for the most part (I don't think replaying KOTOR/KOTOR II for the half-dozenth time really counts as a hobby...). That is when I'm not doing school/school related stuff of course.

True love comes from two people who BOTH love each other. If you want to be in love find someone who'll love you back otherwise there's no point to be dating.
