Wii. Why it will win.

I wanted a wii but now I want an xbox360. The 360 has some really good games coming out on it like Saint's Row, Tony Hawk, GTA, etc. Wii's controller is very cool but it is being overhyped and people are saying that the controller will revolutionize gaming. Wii will mostly have games geared more toward kids. A lot of it is about what games you want more.

Con's : The name. What the hell is Wii supposed to mean??
These are my opinions.

Microsoft + Nintendo = Ultimate Gaming Machine
Sony + (Insert anything here) = Bad idea

Dont flame me please!

Wii con's:480p, non HD.

PS3 pro's: 1080p full HD.

Nintendo = Gaming Machine
Sony and/or Microsoft = Ultimate Gaming Machine

Thats my opinion

PS3=Neo-Geo 2.0; everyone wanted one, but it was just too damn expensive:p

i really dont think the PS3 even has a chance to be anywhere near as popular as the Neo-Geo was and still is.i think its gonna have a huge price drop a few months after launchthen most people will probably grab one

That sounds improbable. Think about it, at the current price tag, Sony is still losing about $100-$150 per unit, so if they drop the price tag even more, it spells tens of millions in losses.

Remember, all the industry experts have counted Sony out...

i dont see how not supporting high def is a con, how many of you here have an HDTV let alone a TRUE 1080P HDTV, some for the first mebe, i guarentee almost none for the latter. plus wiis lack of HD allows it to fit more content to one disc, no bloaty fancy graphics that take up a ton of space, wiis gfx will still look superior to the xbox, possibly near xbox 360 quality sans stuff like HDR lighting and bloom and stuff like that. i wholeheartedly agree that sony is screwed

the reason for price drops is because as the years pass, the technology is perfected and it becomes much cheaper to produce.

Look at the CD-burner for example. Before it would have costed 200 dollars for a good one (back in 97 or so), but now you can pick one up that is 5 times faster and only 20 bucks.

as if launching a console at a 600 dollar price point with a proprietary disc format that may or may not be the next betamax and has been reciving nothing but mediocre to bad press and etc etc etc is NOT reeking of failure?

I can't wait for the Wii to come out. The graphics aren't Xbox 360 or PS3, but one word: Innovation. The Wii just screams "Nintendo!". Nintendo is the video game version of Apple computers. Rock on.

I'm buying one at launch.

Good point, he scares me too. Why does Adult Swim have to show his show every weekday inbetween the GOOD programming, like Futurama, Robot Chicken & Family Guy!?
