its not all that big really, but i can't fix it.

what happened was that i went to my friends house (cause he's helping me) and we were going to work on the n64 . to do the cartridge slot, we were going to use the method where you get an old priter cable, take all the 50 cables inside out of the rubber casing, and basically solder them to the pins on the cart slot and the corresponding ends on the motherboard. Easy.

 It wasn't really. We both had soldering irons, but we arn't all that good at soldering!!! So we tried to solder onto the first pin. It didn't stick on, tried again. nothing! i asked my friend if he could get some lemon juice for me, and while he was away, i picked the cart slot, and the pin fell off   !!!!!!!!!

we tried on three other pins, with lemon juice, and two of them fell off . So that's my escapade from last week. Any Questions :?: :?:

If you're THAT bad at soldering ( I SUCK at it but I can still relocate a cart slot) then practice. Get spare motherboards and desolder/solder components to it. That, or just don't relocate the cartridge slot. It was never a big deal to me, but some people have it as a pet-peeve.

Ah, the pin fell off, on my X portable's cart slot, that sadly happened, and I couldn't acquire another slot, so, I noticed that a bit of the metal was exposed, so I melted the plastic around it, just a LITTLE bit, so I could expose a bit more method, so then it's good :P

It didn't work for me unfortunatly , so i just bought a new N64 instead.
It only cost me £6.99 ($10-$14), so i'm good.

And I just set up my own site.

BTW, what voltage of hotglue do I need. I found http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Nutool-12w-El ... dZViewItem this one. It's only 12v, so i'm not sure if its that powerful. :?
