Computer Problem.. AGAIN!

Hey, Im getting a computer problem, I have direct X 9.0c installed on my IBM laptop, and my Video card (a Radeon 7500 Mobile) can support it, but one day I was playing WoW, and it froze on me, and I have to hard boot my Laptop, and now when I do Direct 3D 9 Test, it says:

" Hardware accelerated Direct3D 9+ is not available because the display driver does not support it. You may be able to get a newer driver from the hardware manufacturer."

I do not understand why it is saying that, as Direct 3D 9+ Worked before WoW crashed on me, now its saying My drivers dont support it.

(Is Direct X 9.0c the same as Direct 3D 9+?)

Another problem, My needforspeed: Most Wanted demo has stopped working, It was working earlier, but now when I try to play it it says "has encountered a problem and needs to close", Ive tried running the safemode and everything.

Dammit, if I dont get Most wanted working... I cant usee my steering wheel that Im getting

If you go to the properties for the card there should be an area that has a button to check for updates on the driver. That might work.

Sounds like part of your graphics driver is corrupted or got munged. Did you do a system restore recently? Those usually screw around with your GFX card drivers.

No but I recently deleted all the System restores except the most recent, and then it never worked after that.

Download a driver for your specific card or series (whichever way ATI does it) and execute the .exe file

I fixed the problem with Need for speed, I turned it to run on 256 color, and to run with no Visual Themes, and to run in 600x800.

Find your card in device manager and snoop around for something called roll back driver. Try that. If that doesn't work, go to driverguide.com and reinstall your driver. If that doesn't work, then find an install for direct x 9 and reinstall that. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling WOW.

That fixed my video card, it only works with the drivers that came with it.

Go to control panel-system-hardware-device manager. Then go to display adapter and theres the video card.

Rolling back doesnt do anything, this is the VERY first video driver on the laptop.
