Wow i havent been fishing in years. the last time i went fishing was 8 years ago when my dad took me, his wife, my step sister and her signifacnt other at the time, onto his pontoon, on coldwater lake.

We didnt catch anything, excpet for an eel (eww). So we decided to quit for the day and head back to shore. My dad tried to start the engine but when he tried to put it in gear it would stall out. He tried 5 times untill it finally went, the problem was My stepsister and her significant other are big people, like Numa Numa big. On the other side, when it fianlly started the boat backfired, and with the high amount of weight in the front, the boat started to sink, titiankic style.

I lost a gameboy color and 3 games when that boat sank. My dad lost a 40 pount test line, 4 poles and a large cooler full of pop and beer, along with the boat. my stepmom lost a bunch of good lawn chairs (which is what we sat on when we fished).

a few months ago my dad salvaged the pontoon. the Cooller was still there and the pop tasted good still. the water kept the ice frozen (coldwater lake is a natural fresh water lake that does not warm up in the summer, it stays ice cold.

When I was 9 or 10, I went fishing off the Gulf of Mexico. Dropped a line at a pier (I know, not real fishing, but I was little) and ten minutes later, to my surprise, I reeled in a 3 foot? shark! Loved fishing ever since.

Last year I got the opportunity to go deep sea fishing in the Gulf, off the coast of Cancun. Went with nine or ten other guys, had a blast, except for being slightly seasick (never eat beef jerkey and soda before going deep sea fishing). I hooked a three foot barracuda, struggled with it for about 10 minutes, and finally got it on board. It tried to bite everything it saw, but my friend quickly smashed its head with the hammer. Stuck it in the cooler, and spent the rest of the day on deck. We made out with a good haul: 2 baraccudas, 1 Maui Maui, and a couple other fish I can't remember. We gave it to the cooks at the hotel, paid them a few bucks, and in two hours we were feasting on cudda fingers and breaded Maui Maui. Excellent meal, if I do say so myself.
