Battery Reccommendation

What kinda of battery(ies) should I use for my 64p? Cheap, and long lasting. also, how will I charge the batteries when they're in the system?

Quit making threads for each question you have. Just ask them all at once.

Next time, search. It's at the top of every page. Make sure you check "Search for all terms". You'll find most of your questions have already been answered.

Batteries? Use a R/C car battery pack, get the Ni-MH type. Get one that's at least 3000mAh, check www.towerhobbies.com for these.
There are also other ways, but you need to search.

To charge te batteries while in the system you will need a charger circuit. And this site might help you. It gives a step by step guide on how to make a n64p and at the bottom it tells how to charge the batts in the system.

I read it, but can I use a Interact Gamecube battery to power my 64p? It didnt say.

Yes you can! Let me write up how to.

Ok, first, you'll want to go to your local radioshack and get a 12v to 3v dc-dc stepdown converter for a cigar lighter for about $10

Now, you'll need to open the battery to save a lot of space.

Cut off the two plugs that are going out of the battery

Now you need to find your 12v, which is <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">the white wire beside the red led </a>

And then find your ground wire which is <a href="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/ ... ndwire.jpg" >the black wire above the square thing next to where you plug in the gamecube plug.</a>

Now take apart the 12v to 3v dc-dc stepdown converter. This is to save space. Connct the 12v to the tip piece of metal and the ground to one of the 2 pieces of metal on the side.

On the other end find the two wires that are 3v and ground with your multimeter.
